I get a fuzzy warm feeling every time I see a business fold up who jumped on the mandatory tipping bandwagon and I love seeing left-tard libtards melt down when when they hear somebody speak negatively about tipping culture. Sorry, I don’t give a shit if these people only make minimum wage before tips. Life choices have consequences, if you decide to accept a minimum wage job, that’s on you. Minimum wage was never intended to be a career choice, suck it up!
Even the businesses that make it optional in their checkout kiosk are laughable. Online ordering and drive-throughs are no place to be hounding the customer for a tip, what the actual fuck are you thinking? You endlessly complain about the economy and you want everybody else to take your side on this, then you expect them to just throw extra money at you and raise the total cost of their purchase? Let’s see, what could possibly be the reason for your sales waning?

You’re already being paid an hourly wage, if you need people to throw extra money at you because you can’t afford your lifestyle, then go get a better paying job! I realize that you’re fond of your current job that requires no skill and you have all kinds of time to fuck off, but that’s the reason that you’re earning a shit wage. I’m not paying extra money to encourage you to continue down the path of piss-poor life choices. You only deserve what you’ve actually earned!
I quit eating anything that I didn’t cook myself a long time ago and I absolutely will not pay for some stupidly expensive over-sweetened cup of coffee. I also don’t hang out in bars, so that should keep me safe from all of this bullshit tipping culture these days. Somehow I still manage to randomly encounter it where I’d never expect it, but I still never play into it. Call me a cheap fucker all you want to, but at least I’m debt-free now and I don’t rent my life from somebody else.
Hiring people for shit wages and making them badger customers for tips is only going to result in a short-term win for your business. Customers will invariably realize the total cost of your product in time and eventually just stop showing up. You’d be surprised how quickly a person becomes good at math once they can’t afford food anymore. It isn’t going to do any good to pressure your underpaid employees to sell more when there’s no more audience. You caused this.
Any time I see a business embracing this mandatory tipping culture, I see a business on the fast track to bankruptcy. They’re broadcasting to their market that they have no financial cushion and are living paycheck-to-paycheck just like their employees. I won’t spend my money there as long as I’m going to be badgered for a tip, but I’ll be a nice guy and take a look at what you’re selling during your going out of business sale. I love a bargain on good used electronics!
